TOMAS KILDIŠIUS

Baritone Tomas Kildišius realises an important part of his creative life in the Lied genre. He is a storyteller, therefore he pays special attention to articulation and clarity of the text and is being praised for his “incredible way of inhabiting the stage” by the press.

“Flawless” is what the Neuss-Grevenbroicher Zeitung wrote about the singer’s pronunciation. Born in Lithuania, he studied singing in Düsseldorf, (Germany) and has sung concerts in Germany, France, Lithuania and the Netherlands. He was entrusted to sing world premieres at the International Lied Festival Zeist and the Düsseldorf Festival.

Tomas has recorded his debut CD of Brahms’ 15 Romances from “Die Schöne Magelone” with Ani Ter-Martirosyan (GENUIN classics), and, together with the pianist Gustas Raudonius, is the winner of 12th International Lili and Nadia Boulanger Competition for Voice and Piano.
