MATHILDA GOIKE

Mathilda Goike, mezzo-soprano, received her bachelor's degree in classical singing at The Academy of Music in Piteå, Sweden, where she studied with singing teacher Katherine Osborne.

In 2022, she received the "Kungliga Skytteanska Samfundet's award to a young musician." During the study period, she has, among other things, played the lead role of Jo in Mark Adamo's Little Women, was involved in the premiere of Jan Sandström's opera Night Owls, and was also in the chorus of Puccini's Suor Angelica. In the summer of 2023, she starred in Verdi's Macbeth at Läckö Castle in Sweden.


Mathilda is now studying a Master's degree at the Opera Academy in Oslo with Tone Kummervold as a teacher. During her studies in Oslo, she debuted in roles as Polina in Spar dame by Tchaikovsky, Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto by Cimarosa, as well as Sesto in Handel's Giulio Caesar. She has also participated in several concerts in Oslo, including for Opera to the People and a balcony concert at the opera.
